PRIDE
rears it's ugly head
it's just there
result of what is in my heart
lofty thoughts of
MYSELF
that belong for only
God
Yet I steal them
claim them for
MYSELF

CARELESS WORDS
quickly spoken
in the air now
like pollen floating around
can't take them back

Did they they harm?
Did they pierce?
the heart of the listener?

Oh the sorrow
please forgive
the pride of my heart
Oh please remove
lofty thoughts of
myself
careless words from
myself

Please replace with
humility
and
lofty thoughts of
YOU oh GOD!
with careful words from
YOU oh LORD

Grace abounds
I receive
FORGIVENESS
from
YOU oh LORD

Be exalted
Be glorified
